The genesis of Screenplay was research into the visuomotor system and, in particular, the way consciousness makes a seemingly continuous stream of visual information even though we are blinking constantly. The same as time between frames in a movie. The screen is both cinema screen and the screen of consciousness. The show contained a series of films, a collaborative transformation of the screenplay for American Beauty, and finished with Sedio Ray Ronci on piano with a selection from his Pen Award-winning collection The Skeleton of the Crow. Trudy Lewis’s story written to petroglyphs was subsequently published.
